The Core of the EBD - The EBD unit is run on one lithium-ion battery. We decided on this energy source because of its higher energy density, longer lifespan, and faster charging capabilities. These functions will allow for individual household needs to be met and easy upgrades as demands grow. This type of battery will be able to persist through many different types of crises or natural disasters.
Integrated Solar - In the slim chance of the lithium-ion battery failing, we will also have integrated solar panels that optimize energy capture. This will be used when only a small amount of energy is used (i. e. brief power outage) which minimizes environmental impact.
Hybrid Inverter - This is a device that helps to manage electricity from different sources, which is perfect for The EBD. It will act as the systems brain and manage the flow of power between solar panels, the battery, and the grid. This works with or without the battery, meaning solar can be used in the case of battery failure.
AI-Powered Predictive Algorithm - This proprietary algorithm leverages machine learning to forecast energy demand, optimize charging schedules, and prioritize critical loads during grid outages. We will collaborate with a company that specializes in AI to help us with this phase.
Smart Grid Integration - Networks that monitor and manage the flow of electricity. The EBD seamlessly integrates with the smart grid, enabling bidirectional power flow and allowing users to contribute excess solar energy back to the grid.
